A useful school uniform price comparison starts with the same specification. Two quotations can differ because they include different fabrics, garment components, decoration, quantities or delivery terms. Ask for those differences to be made clear before choosing.
Garment construction and materials
Identify every required garment and its fabric, lining, trims, fastenings and finishing details. Include composition and weight where known. A pictured outfit may contain several separately priced garments, so list the contents of each requested set.
Quantity, sizes and colours
Send quantities by style, colour and size. The minimum order is 100 pieces per style across 3–4 sizes; confirm the proposed colour split in your quotation. Do not assume the same unit price applies to every order size or to a later repeat order.
Decoration and private labels
Provide crest artwork, decoration dimensions and placement. Identify woven labels, size and care labels, individual packing and carton markings. Ask whether setup, artwork preparation or other development charges are separate from the garment price.
Samples, shipping and destination costs
Confirm sample charges, revision scope and dispatch arrangements. Ask which freight, insurance, import duty and tax costs are included or excluded under the agreed delivery terms. Compare the total scope rather than only the garment unit price.
Confirm a realistic schedule
Provide the target arrival date and allow for sample development, approval, production and shipping as separate stages. Confirm the agreed production start conditions in writing. Any urgent schedule or material change should be reviewed and requoted where necessary.
Use a consistent quotation checklist
Compare specification, quantities, unit prices, sample charges, decoration, packing, payment terms, delivery terms and quotation validity. Keep the approved sample and final specification with the order confirmation. Repeat orders should reference these records and reconfirm materials and pricing.
