School crest embroidery and printing produce different finishes. The suitable method depends on the artwork, garment fabric, logo position and intended care routine. Review a decorated sample before approving bulk school uniforms.
Prepare usable logo artwork
Send the clearest original file available, together with the required dimensions, colours and position. Identify whether every garment uses the same crest or whether different school houses need separate versions. Ask the supplier to flag small lettering and fine details that may need adjustment.
When discussing embroidery
Embroidery uses stitched thread to build the design. Review thread colours, stitch appearance, backing and the finish on the inside of the garment. Dense artwork and delicate or lightweight materials need careful sample review. Confirm any artwork setup charge separately in the quotation.
When discussing printing
Printing offers a different surface appearance, and the process must suit the selected fabric and design. Ask which print method is proposed, how colours are matched and whether any artwork changes are required. Check the feel, coverage and appearance on the actual garment material.
Compare samples against the same brief
Use the same artwork dimensions and placement when comparing options. Check readability, alignment, comfort and finish. Agree any wash assessment and acceptance criteria before production. Neither method should be assumed to meet a particular durability requirement without verification.
Build decoration into the order breakdown
State quantities for each garment, colour, size and logo version. Specify placement in measurements rather than relying only on a mockup. Record the approved artwork and sample so repeat orders can be reviewed against the same reference.
See logo and private label customisation and send your crest for review.
